Stonecross MC now offers ONLINE SERVICES, make appointments, order medication and view your medical records. Please ask at reception for more information.

We have added a Self Care section to our website under further information. This contains useful links to websites with information to about treating minor illnesses at home and seeking help when you need it. It is also about managing any conditions you have in a way that puts you in control, improves your quality of life and avoids you getting ill


You can also now request the Electronic Transfer of most repeat prescriptions to a nominated pharmacy.

Appointments

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus. Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 0121 588 2286

Please note all initial appointments are currently via Telephone only during the COVID19 Coronavirus Pandemic. If  FOLLOWING your telephone appointment, you need to be seen face to face this will be arranged by the GP

How to See a Doctor

Consultations are by appointment.

In order to make an appointment telephone 0121 588 2286. You will be offered the earliest appointment to see a doctor. It may not be possible to see the doctor of your choice on the same day.

Please make separate appointments for each member of your family needing to see the doctor.

If your case is URGENT you will be seen on the same day, but not always by the doctor of your choice.

We also have a smoking advisor who visits our surgery every Tuesday between 12.30 and 14.30 to help people who want to stop smoking. This is a drop in clinic so you do not need an appointment to see him.

Extended GP Appointments

Practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments between 6.30pm – 8pm during the week and also over the weekend, If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call and speak to the receptionist at your registered practice during normal opening hours.  Your appointment may be with another practice in the area and may not be at your registered practice.​

How to See The Practice Nurse

Consultation is by appointment. Please telephone the surgery or call in person to book an appointment: services offered by the practice nurse

  • Holiday vaccinations
  • Cervical smears
  • Breast examinations
  • General health checks
  • Ear syringing
  • Dressings

Chaperones

When you have an examination done by the doctor you will be asked if you want a chaperone present. Breast and pelvic examinations are mandatory that a chaperone is present. Examinations will be carried out in a gentle manner with the patient’s dignity and comfort in mind.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
